Why do I Create Art?

Why do I create art?  There are a few reasons why I spend time creating and designing art. A few of these include the aspect of making something yours and expressing your thoughts or feelings. But The main reason I create art is to prove to myself that I am creative and that I can make anything I put my mind to. I enjoy being creative and designing my own art and films, because everytime I make something it will be different and no two pieces will ever be the same. I create art because it is a piece of me that I can show through lines and pixels.

Who or What Inspires Me?

Who or what inspires my art? First of all my favorite artist, Keith Haring, his art style is like no other and I have loved his art for years now. I love every aspect of recurring characters he creates and the stories his simple yet creative pieces tell. Secondly, my friend Jackson Ebel inspires my art in so many aspects. Jackson is a Photographer at my church and also takes my photos. He loves to try new techniques and when we create together we really bounce well off of each other. Lastly I would say my Mom inspires me the most. Not only on an art aspect but just in life. But the reason she inspires my art is because I love showing her my art I have created and hearing what she has to say about it.

What Do I See In My Art?

What do I see in my artwork? In my art and films I see a lot. I see the creative process I put into it, the inspiration I have gotten, the minor details I have shaped and corrected, and most of all I see the final product and what I have created. After working to build a piece from the ground up I see what I have created and where my inspirations and designs have brought me. I love finishing a project because I can step back and admire what I have created. After all the second thoughts and deleted pixels I can appreciate my work for what it is and what I have created.
